Paper Round: Glass How to Recycle Glass

Paper Round recycles glass bottles and jars of any colour. They can all be recycled together in our special containers - plastic crates (ideal for small or medium sized offices) or large wheeled bins (ideal for larger offices with external storage or a canteen).

What We Do

As long as you let us know in advance Paper Round will collect your plastic crate or wheeled bin at the same time as your paper and replace it with a clean one.

Where Do My Glass Bottles Go?

Paper Round delivers mixed glass to Berryman’s in East London. Their processing plant is close to our yard, minimising transport pollution.

Berryman’s crush the bottles into a consistent glass cullet, removing paper and metal contaminants. This cullet is then used in the manufacture of new green glass bottles.

Bins & Storage for Glass

fb-glass.jpgUse our plastic crate to recycle glass in small office kitchens. Holding up to 20 wine bottles its hinged lid keeps it tidy.

Larger offices or kitchens should use the 240 litre wheeled bin with bottle bank lid. Holding up to 80 wine bottles its wheels allow it to be easily moved to where it is required. Can be hired for special functions or parties.

Do's and Dont's

Do recycle all colours of bottles and jars.

Don't recycle crockery, glasses, plate or Pyrex glass. They damage the recycling plant and must be thrown away.
