Security Shredding

Paper Round provides secure paper shredding and recycling services for offices right across London. We offer total peace of mind with an unbeatable combination of price and service.

What happens to your Confidential Waste?

Our staff collect the bins and load them into our vehicles. Staff are vetted prior to employment by Paper Round for previous criminal record and other risk factors.

Vehicles are equipped with GPS satellite tracking systems, with real-time reporting of vehicle location (to the nearest ten metres) back to the office. Our staff have mobile phones to report difficulties and to keep in communication with the office.

Sacks never leave our vehicles until they are unloaded directly into the destruction facility, normally within 6 hours.

The facility is patrolled by security staff and is under continual CCTV surveillance.

Each A4 sheet is chopped into approximately 150 fragments, 2cm square, in line with the Government requirement for Class 3 destruction. The fragments are then pulped before recycling.

Certificates of Destruction are issued monthly to confirm the safe destruction of your material.

Confidential Waste Standards

Industry standards for document shredding do not currently exist in the Britain but have been established in Germany for some time.

Much of the EU has adopted the German standard, and the UK appears to be moving towards a similar standardization.

The German Institute for Standardization, DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung), is a technical and scientific association recognized by the German government as the national standards body, representing German interests at international and European levels.

DIN is the equivalent to the British Standards Institute (BSI), which is the National Standards Body for the UK, responsible for facilitating, drafting, publishing and marketing British Standards and other guidelines.

DIN 32757-1 is meant to make business more secure for personal protection by standardising destruction.

DIN 32757-1 differentiates five security stages of document shredding:
Paper Round shreds to Security Level 3

Security Level 3 pertains to confidential records, such as personal data and documents. This is the minimum level recommended for most security protection applications. Strip cut 1.9 mm/particle cut 3.9 x 30 - 50 mm.
