Paper Round collect waste and recycling from around London, but what’s it like day to day working for a waste and recycling company?At the yard we have a combination of office and yard staff as well as the drivers and mates. Pretty self explanatory really.
Where possible drivers will always go out with a mate to make jobs quicker and easier. It might sound easy but factor in London traffic, jobs with extra materials, security guards and road works and things start to get interesting. Each day Paper Round have around 28 trucks out on the road collecting from our 5,000 client’s around London. These include normal box trucks that collect from offices and bin stores, cage trucks for kerbside collections, an RCV truck for rubbish collections and a top loader for security collections. To coordinate all of this we have a dedicated route planner who carefully allocates the jobs to the right trucks and drivers to ensure our collections are as efficient as possible.
